Common questions
How do I cancel my subscription?▾
On the web app: go to Settings → Manage subscription— that opens the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel any time. On iOS: tap your Apple ID in Settings → Subscriptions → AI Wingman → Cancel.
How do refunds work?▾
See our refund policy. Short version: we don’t pro-rate the current period, but annual plans get a 14-day full-refund window and we make exceptions for billing errors and accidental charges. Email us.
My wingman isn't responding / I see an error▾
The AI provider (Google Gemini) occasionally has brief outages. Most errors auto-recover when you tap Send again. If it persists for more than a few minutes, email hello@aiwingman.date with a screenshot.
I lost access on a new device▾
On the web app, sign in with the email you used to subscribe at the login page— your wingman config and chat history sync across web devices.
How do I delete my data?▾
Email us at hello@aiwingman.date with the subject “Delete my account.” We’ll wipe your account and any stored data within 30 days as required by GDPR / CCPA. See our privacy policy for details.
Is my data secure?▾
Yes. All traffic uses TLS 1.2+. Cookies are HttpOnly + Secure + SameSite=Lax. Database access is restricted to authenticated services. We don’t share your chat history or profile data with anyone. We don’t track you across other apps. Read the full privacy policy.
Does AI Wingman work without an account?▾
Yes. The free tier (3 messages/day with the coach) works without signing in. Sign-in is only required to sync data across devices and to manage your subscription.
What's the difference between the AI coach and Practice mode?▾
The AI coach (Coach tab) is your strategist — ask for advice, paste her message and get reply suggestions, get profile feedback. Practice mode lets you simulate full conversations with sample matches to build your conversation skills with no real-world consequences.
